It is possible that the instrument of your choice is not listed. In that case, please send us an email, and we will try to find a new teacher as soon as we receive more requests for the same instrument. The Clarinet, Private Clarinet lessons: The clarinet is a family of woodwind instruments. It has a single-reed mouthpiece, a straight, cylindrical tube with an almost cylindrical bore, and a flared bell. A person who plays a clarinet is called a clarinetist.
Johann Christoph Denner is generally believed to have invented the clarinet in Germany around the year 1700 by adding a register key to the earlier chalumeau, usually in the key of C. Over time, additional keywork and airtight pads were added to improve the tone and playability. The clarinet has proved to be an exceptionally flexible instrument, used in the classical repertoire as in concert bands, military bands, marching bands, klezmer, jazz, and other styles. The Lessons: The first goal of our teaching programme is to help you achieve a basic level. From there, you can specialize in pop, jazz or classical music, but this is by no means obligatory. You will learn to play by heart, to play from sheet music and to improvise. We will also discuss interesting information about the music you are working on, so you will not only learn to play the clarinet, but you will also have a musical experience in a broader sense. |

A word from our students:
The Music Collective is a very fine music school. I've learned so much during my singing-, piano- and drum lessons. They're all great teachers ! Thanks to their effort I'm now studying at the conservatory in Rotterdam.
Cheryl Freeze Great music school. As an adult I decided to start guitar lessons at last. I had a great time with my Guitar teacher Alex. Highly recommended for all ages.
