Marijn van de Ven
is specialized in pop, rock, funk and jazz. Think of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jamiroquai, Miles Davis, The Beatles etc. During the lessons we'll explore technique, rhythm, sound and groove. We'll play songs and read notes (eventually) The students preference is at the heart of the lessons. Sem van Gennip:
After functioning as a drummer for several years I picked up the bass. Pretty soon I knew, yes I like this even more than drums. And bass became my main instrument. Being able to be the bridge between the tonal part and rhythmic appeals to me greatly. Playing and listening to multiple genres gives you an extra depth in your playing. It enriches you. If you are interested in the more theoretical side of music making or your bass playing, I can certainly help you with that. |

A word from our students:
The Music Collective is a very fine music school. I've learned so much during my singing-, piano- and drum lessons. They're all great teachers ! Thanks to their effort I'm now studying at the conservatory in Rotterdam.
Cheryl Freeze Great music school. As an adult I decided to start guitar lessons at last. I had a great time with my Guitar teacher Alex. Highly recommended for all ages.
